My Hanukkah Dessert Table
November 19, 2010
We’re hosting a couple of Chanukah parties, so I’ve been working on my dessert table. Just wanted to give you a sneak peek, but the pictures didn’t come out too great. It looked much better in person and it’s so frustrating that I couldn’t get it right in the pics! I’m in the market for a new camera, but the choices are overwhelming! Any suggestions?
To get the menorah look in the background, I filled these pretty vases (from Target) with blue, dried Eucalyptus branches. I wrapped lace around the top of the vase, to look like the cups of oil on a menorah.
To add some shine, I stuck on some rhinestones onto the cupcake wrappers, that I cut out of navy metallic cardstock. The ribbon backdrop is also glittered with rhinestones, but you can’t see it in the pictures.
As soon as I was done taking pictures, I attacked the wine
I used a wide navy, satin ribbon across the white platters, and tied thin navy ribbon around the parfait cups.
The dreidel cookies were super easy to make. I just cut out white fondant using the same dreidel cookie cutter that I used to cut out the cookies, and stuck the fondant onto the cookies using a little water.
Happy Hanukkah!
